About Us
Steven K. Baker and Thomas M. Gottlieb founded Palm Cove Capital (PCC) in 2001 to provide innovative financial service solutions and value added capital to Pacific Rim clients. Since then PCC has continued to seek promising opportunities where it can leverage the substantial financial, development and operating experience of its managing partners and provide value added capital or advisory services.
Since 2001, PCC has:
Engineered innovative investment program for Hawaiian individuals and corporate clients for three consecutive years. Working closely with KPMG and Cades Schutte Fleming & Wright, PCC has identified Qualified High Technology Businesses, Act 221 approved by the Department of Taxation, and structured investment programs that benefit the State of Hawaii, the QHTB companies and participating investors.

Raised over $15 mm and created more than 35 permanent high tech jobs for a newly established Hawaiian subsidiary of a leading International Agro-business company undertaking a ten year applied aquaculture research project.

Invested PCC and Partner capital in a growing portfolio of technology, financial services, real estate and hospitality industry companies.

Steven Baker is the founder and President of Micronesia Registration Advisors, Inc. , which has a 40-year contract to promote in Japan the corporate registry and captive insurance regime of the Federated States of Micronesia.  He was a senior executive with Citibank for 22 years, including being the Division Executive of North Asia, based in Hong Kong, and of Worldwide Securities Services.  He then founded and was Chairman for nine years of Lanka Bell (Pvt) Limited, the second largest telephone operator with a 25-year nationwide license in Sri Lanka.  Now residing in Honolulu, among his directorships, he is the Vice Chairman of the board of trustees of Hawaii Pacific University.  He was recently recognized by the Hawaii Legislature and the Hawaii Venture Capital Association as the Entrepreneur of the Year in Hawaii.

Thomas Gottlieb has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, the hospitality industry, banking and venture capital throughout the US and the Pacific Rim. Today, Gottlieb is the Chairman of Mandara Spa, a company he founded in 1996 in Bali, and which grew to become the leading international operator of luxury resort spas, and which was chosen recently by Conde Nast Traveler, as operator of three of the top ten spas in the world. In addition, Gottlieb is Managing Member of Palm Cove Capital, a boutique financial services and investment company.
